Robes and Snowblowers

Erleen has been busy sewing. She made herself and me new robes for the winter. They are beautiful and so warm

I finally finished my snowblower project. After many hours assembling and installing here it is ready for winter snows.

Our seniors club had its annual Thanksgiving dinner today at the cafe here in Hannaford. There were twenty-three of us for turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, peas and pumpkin pie.

Erleen is making 25 fleece scarves for the members of our club. We will go into Fargo tomorrow to buy the material. It is a beautiful sunny afternoon here.

The temperature is 38 degrees and there is no wind. So far no snow, but there is plenty of frost.

  2. Hi Erleen & Warren...I agree with all Ginny's comments, Erleen. You guys are a good example of what it means to stay active & useful in God's Kingdom...there is no such thing as retirement anyway, is there? It was great having you in Oregon...come any time! Love you! Bonnie (& Lon)

  3. Dad, you assembled the snow blower? What does that mean, did it come in pieces or did you create it? What an adventure! I love all the updates and I check them often as well. I love your writing. Miss you both. Stay warm out there and enjoy your first blizzard whenever it comes. Mom had fond memories as a kid being locked in with a bunch of guests.
Diane found a picture of a statue of Thorvald Lende's brother who stayed in Stavenger, Norway. He evidently was good to the orphans and the children of less advantage. He had ponies and gave them rides. I couldn't help but think of the lawn mower rides you used to give the grandkids, boy did they love that! Love you bunches, Melodee
